Listen Up // Podcasts I'm Loving Lately
One of my favorite things about our neighborhood (we live in Georgetown) and DC in general, is that it’s such a walkable place. It doesn’t matter what time of year or day it is, I can always count on feeling refreshed and inspired when I step outside and just walk. I also live in very close proximity to virtually everything I need: my yoga studio is a 12 minute walk, Whole Foods is half a mile away, and my 3 favorite coffee shops are all within a few blocks. All of this walking often leaves me with some solid alone time and podcasts have become my new favorite activity for when I’m sick of talking on the phone or listening to music.
I don’t know how podcasts weren’t a thing up until a couple of years ago because I am completely addicted! I follow over 15 podcast channels at this point, but have a few tried and true favorites that I simply can’t get enough of.
The Rich Roll Podcast | Blair and I are totally addicted to this podcast and it will always be my #1. Rich Roll is a vegan athlete, author, and wellness advocate who interviews some of the most incredible people both in and out of the health world. Some of my favorite interviews he’s done are with Darin Olien on Superfoods, Matthew Kenney, and Gary Vee.
The Lively Show | I’ve been following Jess Lively for years and, the more I listen to her podcast, the more I feel like she just gets it. After ending her marriage last year, Jess packed up her life and is traveling around the world writing and speaking about intuition and trusting your gut before anything else. Some of her most recent podcasts have been resonating with me unlike anything else, especially this one about why we don’t have to work as hard as we think we do.
The Goal Digger Podcast | Jenna Kutcher totally nails this podcast for creative girl-bosses and, even though she’s only 15 episodes in, the quality of her work totally shines through. I loved her interview with Mary Marantz on redefining success in life and business.
The GaryVee Audio Experience | Gary Vee is intense and I can only handle his podcasts every so often, but he has a blunt honesty that I really admire. We listened to his 2016 Inbound Conference Keynote Speech on our drive up to NYC last month and couldn’t stop talking about it for days. Do yourself a favor and listen to it (be prepared for a lot of bad language) here.
I’m always on the search for new things to listen to, so if you have any other Podcasts you think I should check out, please let me know!
